This morning, Mr. Miracle Man ("our" precious 20 week old foster blessing) decided to change up the typical morning routine. We still got the kids out the door on time. Eventually, he decided to take a fantastic nap allowing me to finally get caught up on the growing pile of my stuff, my grandma's paperwork, the kid's paperwork, etc. and it felt SO GOOD to get control of everything. Bills are paid, checkbook is balanced, paperwork's filed, etc. I wrote an e-mail to thank the adoption social worker for coming over yesterday and included another picture :)
I was getting ready to head to my Grandma's house when I rec'd a call from Shelby's instructional assistant telling me Shelby wasn't feeling well so off Baby and I went to pick her up. Turns out, she didn't want to leave which lead to a few interesting minutes getting her to the van. We arrived home and she unleashed a marathon meltdown...always a good time ;)
Eventually, she was calmed down, Shane arrived home from school with...his progress report card showing an F and a D in 2 main classes. He has a really high IQ, he is a very smart boy but the ADHD does NOT make school easy or fun for my almost 12 year old. He knows we won't allow anything lower than a C for him to be allowed to play football so he has 4 weeks to bring up those two grades.
Respite was over with Shelby, Steve came home and we ate dinner then decided to be spontaneous and invite our best friends over and their twin boys are going to spend the night. Tammy (their mom) and I got to visit for a while and Baby got lots of lovin' Andrew (one of the twins) has a baseball game early tomorrow so after a big breakfast, the boys will be on their way.
